It is also said to be a filter...designed by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and it is technically known as PAURDHA-MAYA. Paurdha (curtain), and Maya (in this case, energy). For those jivas that are not yet ready to ¨see¨ the Holy Place, they are given a different outlook.
